A&A Scaffolding Solutions proudly marked a major milestone for Jersey's construction industry with the official opening of the Scaffold Training Academy, the Channel Islands' first CISRS accredited training centre.

To celebrate the occasion, we welcomed Clive Dickin, CEO of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC), to Jersey for a series of industry events focused on training, safety, and workforce development.

The visit began with a breakfast briefing at La Mare Wine Estate, where industry professionals, government representatives, and key stakeholders heard presentations from Clive Dickin and Traffic Works. The session provided valuable insight into industry standards, traffic management, public safety, and the importance of investing in skills and competence across the construction sector.

Later that day, Clive officially opened the Scaffold Training Academy, marking the launch of a facility that will provide local access to internationally recognised CISRS qualifications for scaffolders and construction professionals.

The academy represents a significant investment in Jersey's future workforce, creating local training opportunities, supporting career development, and helping to raise standards of safety and professionalism across the industry.

We would like to thank Clive Dickin, NASC, Traffic Works, Skills Jersey, and everyone who attended and supported this landmark event.

With the academy now open, we look forward to delivering further CISRS training courses throughout the year and continuing to support the development of Jersey's construction workforce.
